My name is Le Ngoc An and I’m 14 years old. I’m in middle school and I’m studying IELTS/TOEFL at Sylvan Learning. I took the IELTS exam on the 21st of July and the TOEFL exam on the 28th.
I was really amazed that I got band 8 in the IELTS exam with the following scores: Listening 9.0 – Reading 8.5 – Speaking 7.5 – Writing 6.5 – Total 8.0

My name is Le Ngoc An and I’m 14 years old. I’m in middle school and I’m studying IELTS/TOEFL at Sylvan Learning. I took the IELTS exam on the 21st of July and the TOEFL exam on the 28th.

It’s incredible how I could be able to achieve such high marks after just about 2 months of studying. When I first began practicing IELTS here, my scores were pretty low most of the time. However, after the first couple of weeks, with all the help and encouragement from the friendly AL staffs and professional teachers, I started to get used to the test format and eventually I was able to do it pretty well. About 2 months later, I decided to take the real exam in order to test my skills. I really appreciate all the helpful advises that all of you gave me. Without you guys, I wouldn’t have succeeded in getting such an excellent result. Once again, thank you all very much!
For TOEFL, I was really surprised that I achieved these marks:
- Listening: 27
- Reading: 22
- Speaking: 24
- Writing: 24
- Total: 97

Thank you very much for teaching me TOEFL. You are my favorite teacher here. Your tips were really helpful and you helped me to better understand the details that I wasn’t sure of such as new vocabulary, phrases, expressions, idioms and many others. Thanks to you, my scores have improved a lot compared to when I first studied at Cleverlearn – Sylvan Learning. I promise I will keep on practicing hard to be able to get an even better result the next time I take the test. My next goal is 101+. One more thing I would like to inform you is that I’m traveling aboard to Canada next Thursday (August 23rd). I will be staying there at least until I finish university. I will miss you a lot. I hope that we will be able to communicate through e-mail. I will come home every summer so I’m looking forward to seeing you again next year!
Overall, I want to thank all of the wonderful staffs and teachers here at Cleverlearn – Sylvan Learning who helped me a lot with my studying. I strongly believe that in the future more and more people will be able to achieve even higher IELTS and/or TOEFL results by training here at Cleverlearn – Sylvan Learning.
